What to Expect

We understand how frustrating it can be to live with this condition, which is why every dry eye patient seen at the Dry Eye Center of NC is sent home with a customized treatment plan after their initial dry eye evaluation. During your initial visit, we will conduct a dry eye evaluation to diagnose your condition(s) and use this data to create a customized treatment plan. Our team is always available to answer your questions and provide guidance throughout your dry eye treatment journey.

It is important for patients to inform their healthcare provider of any medications they are taking, as well as any symptoms they are experiencing, including dryness in the eyes. In our advanced dry eye clinic, our healthcare providers will work with patients to identify the underlying cause of their dry eye symptoms to develop their personalized treatment plan, which may include the use of artificial tears, prescription medications, or other therapies to increase moisture in the eyes, reduce inflammation and yield lasting relief from your dry eye symptoms.
